Downtown Jacksonville brings a completely different energy to a senior session than St. Augustine or the beach. Between the historic architecture on Laura Street, the murals that cover entire buildings, and the skyline views along the river, downtown gives us backdrops that feel bold and current instead of soft and traditional. Add in parking garages, and mirrored buildings, and you have a very modern aesthetic. If your senior wants something with more edge, downtown is where we go.

Atlantic Beach feels less like a beach town built for visitors and more like an actual neighborhood that happens to sit on the ocean, and that shows up in the photos. Its an old Florida town, with fun colors, and beautiful beaches. 

Beaches Town Center

Right at the heart of Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach, Beaches Town Center gives us walkable streets, local shops, and a laid back small town feel that's a nice contrast to open sand.

Hanna Park & Dutton Island Preserve

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park stretches across 450 beachfront acres with trails and dunes well beyond the typical stretch of sand, and Dutton Island Preserve, Atlantic Beach's largest park, adds marsh views, live oak hammocks, and miles of nature trails if a senior wants something greener than open beach.

Timing & Getting Around

Golden hour and sunrise both work well here, same as the rest of the coast. Hanna Park and Dutton Island are quieter than the main beach strip, so they're a good option if a senior wants fewer people in the background.
