Jacksonville senior photos :: Emily in Paris Senior Shoot

Making the streets of Jacksonville Florida feel like the streets of Paris in a senior shoot…

Paris has always been one of my favorite places in the world! I studied it for four years in High School and Mark and I renewed our vows there years ago, and we had hoped to go back in 2020 but we all know what happened to that trip! I knew I wanted to do a fun senior style shoot based on Emily in Paris, and since its a magical place for me, I figured we could make it magical in Jacksonville.

Now, I didn’t have an Eiffel tower, but we did find some places that Emily {and yes, her real name is Emily} and I felt looked like it could be in the streets of Paris! I styled the looks from the KHP style closet, which was so much fun. Beret anyone? Let me know what you think… did we pull it off and make downtown look like Paris?

We started by a church behind City Hall, the stone color is perfect, and with stained glass windows, you could almost feel the Ile de la Cité seeping through the images. Emily rocked her beret, dont even ask her about her boyfriend Henri!

Next we headed to the City hall building. With its weathered copper, and filigree elements, it could be on any street in the city, so we used that! We also had a cool wall, and fountain across the street. There is a metro stop that has all broken ceramics, and I felt the wall looked like it could be right next to that stop. And of course, Paris has tons of obelisk type fountains and statues- my fave being in Vendome!

Sticking with City Hall, we grabbed a fun sparkly dress, a fabulous pink coat, and headed for a night on the town. We even found a fun french restaurant {aka Bistro Aix}. But, the french writing on the window seems tres authentic!

And to wrap up, we used San Marco, which looks like a fabulous little shopping district in any arrondissement, don’t you think? This time Emily wore leather shorts, and an off the shoulder polka dot shirt. We used a fabulous fedora, and a Burberry headband to complete the look. I only wish I had been able to find a french newspaper….

We had so much fun doing this styled shoot! It’s always feels so good when I get to do something outside of the box and get creative! Thank you Emily for offering to model for this shoot, it was just what I needed! So, did we make it look like Paris? I think so… now if Jacksonville could just get a mini Eiffel Tower….
