Saint Augustine Night of Lights senior photos

This Bartram Trail senior St. Augustine Night of Lights session started downtown within the cobbled streets. It’s one of my favorite areas for senior photos because it’s unlike any thing else in most of the country. Isabelle wore a wide variety of styles and colors, and I loved it! One of the things I always say to my seniors- this is a chance to really push your clothing, and your style and different colors and textures gives you so much variety! When you head off to college, you will be in a whole new stage, so a senior portrait session is the perfect place to get a little fancy!

For Isabelle’s senior photos, we knew we wanted to be a bit more dramatic, and the night of lights in St. Augustine is just perfect for that. We started in the city, and found some perfect spots to highlight her outfit choices, especially the green sweater {which highlighted her eyes} and the vintage jacket {her grandmother’s}. We loved this with the old city feel by Casa Monica, and the vintage car. Isabelle’s senior photo session was in the “winter” which is St. Augustine means upper 60’s. It was perfect for layers, and sweaters, which add depth to an outfit, and some texture.

As we made our way around downtown St. Augustine, we found some cool new walls, and locations, and even found bits of sun light! Since the sun is softer in the winter, it makes for beautiful back-lighting {which you know I love} and gave us beautiful direct light as well. We wrapped this session by using her fabulous yellow dress, and the lions at the bridge. With the warm holiday lights, and the pop of yellow it was a perfect blend with her skin coloring!

As we wrapped the daylight part of her session, we treated to a fabulous sunset, and a moon overhead. One of the perks of doing a photo session by the water is using the sunset as a backdrop and its one of the best features of a KHP Luxe session. With the festive lights of the city, and the beautiful skies, we got the best of both worlds!

Isabelle was a 2022 senior at Bartram Trail high School and headed to University of Florida this fall. I know she is having a fabulous time, and loving all facets of my Alma Mater! Isabelle is a fabulously smart, and intelligent young woman! Having known her from swim for a few years, I was so excited to see this trendy, photo side of her… and of course, she was amazing! I also could NOT wait to back light that hair! I am so excited for your journey Isabelle! I know UF will be an amazing launching point for you!
