When should I book my senior photo session?
I know, I know you are thinking spring of your senior year right? Well, I am here to help you!
As much as spring can be beautiful in Florida, if you wait that late you will be SO BUSY with senior activities, you will feel so stressed doing photos! There is prom, and graduation, spring break and recitals, sports, end of the year activities, and planning for graduation! Since graduation is usually in May, if you wait till March or April, you will be going crazy! If you can, plan in advance!
Timing for products can make thins difficult as well! Designing and delivering products can take 3-4 weeks, and so if you want custom grad announcements, wall canvases, albums and signature wall art displayed for your grad festivities plan an early session whenever possible!
But what if you want to announce your college choice? Well, we have got you covered! At KHP we offer a boomerang session to “bounce back” and do college shirt photos, and family photos, so you dont have the stress of your full session AFTER you make that college choice! We also do a cap and gown session where you can where your college shirt! We offer lot’s of choices to make sure you get the session you want, and you get to get your college announcement done too!
So when is the best time to book your senior photos? I love November to early March, the weather is better and not as hot and the available light is much softer! But, we also know its best to book around your active schedule, especially if you play sports or are involved in something that will take up a lot of your time during a set part of the year. At KHP, we usually book sessions 4-6 months in advance, so we advise clients to reach out during the summer between your Junior and Senior year for best date availability!
